McCarthy finished with four receptions for 117 yards including both scores.
The defense was led by junior stalwart Chase Nolan who led the team with nine tackles, three sacks and five tackles for a loss. Porter finished with eight tackles and Trent Dunaway added an interception.
Porter also worked his way into the record books on Saturday as he broke the single-season rushing record of 1,335 previously set by Richie Mamie in 1995. Porter now stands at 1,339 yards rushing on 225 carries for an average of 6.0 yards per carry to go along with 14 touchdowns.
