The Big Reds and Red Devils both entered the game unbeaten so something had to give at Rain drenched Nelson Field. The young Reds struck first when Joey Lewis ran up the gut for thirty yards to paydirt. The two point conversion was good from Jake Heatherington to Ray Ray Pettigrew to make the score 8-0. The Big Reds gave up their first score of the year as St C busted a 47 power to the end zone. The Reds had two TDs called back in the second quarter due to penalties and couldn’t crack the scoreboard again in the half. The Reds went into the half with a 8-8 score. The Big Reds got the ball to start the second and marched down and scored a big TD on a 25 yard run by Pettigrew. Heatherington to Pettigrew for the two point once again for a 16-8 lead. The Reds drove down the field once again when they were at the four yard line about to score and fumbled. However, Heatherington was Johnny on the Spot and picked it up and rambled to the end zone. The two point failed and he Reds were now up 22-8. St. C took the ball and got a couple first downs but then tried to throw the ball to the flat and Joey Lewis jumped the route and went 60 yards to blow the game open. Heatherington to Brayden Roth for the two point to make the score 30-8. St. C added a score late to finish off the scoring 30-14. The Big Reds are now 5-0 and play @ River next Thursday.
