Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that circumstances would dictate that I be motivated to write an article like this but here we are. With the recent decision by the OHSAA to cancel the spring sports season, I felt it was important to recognize the seniors in their respective spring sports.
Obviously, being the parent of a fellow senior, this group means more to me than most. Allow me to digress for a moment personally here. I moved my family here as this senior class was beginning the 7th-grade. My son was a little skinny 6th-grader who liked music and was in the band. In my opinion, he was a prime candidate as a new student to be possibly ostracized and/or picked on. Due to this fantastic senior class, the exact opposite happened. So many people over the years have been genuinely surprised to learn Tanner has only been in Bellaire schools since the 7th-grade. The fantastic group of humans that comprise the 2020 senior class at Bellaire High School are a cut above the rest.
I only add the above personal note because the senior athletes honored below are a HUGE reason for my above thoughts. The athletic accomplishments of this group have been noted over the years. The more impressive attribute in my opinion is the type of people they are. This group of seniors are thoughtful, respectful, humble, caring and just overall really good humans.
A special shout-out to Paul for PSK Innovations Photography for all of the pics including the collage on the cover page.
For accuracy, I listed letters that were earned before the spring.
With all of that being said, it is my honor to present the “2020 Virtual Spring Sports Senior Day”
